hi, I am using the Website field in the registration form, as an optional field… but it doesn’t get saved… If I create a test user with a specified website, I cannot see it in the user’s profile… Any Ideas?

I don’t think it comes with one. The plugin integrates with the standard registration form. It my set up it’s called with but if you click on the register link in the login form it should take you to the custom form. You can put a register link anywhere you want by editing your template. Of course, you have to allow people to register first in wp admin.

I installed Pie Register to my subdomain instead, which is also powered by WP.

All went successful, but sorry the stupid question is:
which is the link that leads to the “register” page?

Would it be possible to make the solution public? I have the same problem although it seems that if neither option is checked the plugin will, all the same, send an email with the link. Clicking it will bring you to the login form and it will accept the login details. Now, checking the option to moderate the registration seems to work alright.

Btw, I really like this plugin and although it has some problems that need to be ironed I think it’ll be worthy in the end.

I have a problem with Pie Register for WordPress. In the user profile, the contents of additional fields do not appear. Yet it is essential for me to validate entries. I can not resolve this issue. Do you have a solution for me? Thank you!

I Have Pie register 1.2.8 (beta)
I was set all functions what I need and I was find 2 problems with this plugin:
- when I wasn’t set enable Custom User Email Notification then verification link doesn’t work
- when i set enable Custom User Email Notification then verification link works fine, but when I resend email verification to unverificated users, link from this email doesn’t work

How can I repair this?

I have set things up according to the instructions and find that when users click on the verification link in the registration mail, they are not verified immediately, but stay in the “Unverified” state.

I also tested a new registration and manually verified the account, but still could not login. I really like this plugin as it is possible to configure the messages, but if it does not work correctly, then I will need to find another solution.

Any help with this will be really appreciated.

Hello,

Awesome plugin,

But I’m using wordpress 3.3. The bugs i’ve found…

The custom fields are not returning the values inputted on the form registration form… The values in the profile section just say ‘Array’

Also when I set up all my settings in ‘Pie Register’ – and then go to ‘E-mail Notification’, when I activate the email notification, and then go back to ‘Pie Register’ section, all my custom fields have disappeared.

I can’t seem to activate ‘Required Profile Fields’ for names, they un-tick themselves when changes are saved.

Are looking to get this working with 3.3.1 soon?

I’m going to downgrade to 3.2.1 for now and hope it works better.

Great plugin, but there are conflicts with mingle?
This is the message:
“You have another plugin installed that is conflicting with Pie Register. This other plugin is overriding the user notification emails. Please see Pie Register Conflicts for more information”.

And it don’t send verification link!

Hi,
can only repeat the other comments, using V1.28. and WP 3.3.1
very nice plugin, but severe problems:
- password-meter not working while typing
- Text Input will be displayed as “Array” in the backend
- required profile fields are resetting to zero
- error messages on registration page when entering wrong/missing info

like this it’s really crap – please inform me when the problems are solved

I’m using WordPress 3.2.1. Pie also using 1.2.7 Register. created its own address, phone number, city areas, such as the titles used russian. entered into the data management panel, but can not see the text box fields. russian language in the project. urgent help is needed is a good idea.

Hello,

thank you very much for your plug-in, it is great. Actually I have two problems:
1) I added two custom fields and checked “add profile field”; so I find these custom field also in user profiles…but they don’t report the text the user inserted, there is instead a stati text: “Array” (data that user inserted are correctly reported in email notification).
2) every now and then the system halt sending email notification..I cannot debug it, it seems it is random

Hey there,

We are having an issue with multiple “invitation codes” not working. We have the latest version of WP and Pie Register but we only see a single text area for a single code with no minus or plus buttons rendered to add multiple codes.

Is this a known bug and is there maybe a syntax we can follow to add multiple codes to the text area (I tried comma separated & new line separated) or can you shed any light on the area that might be effected by this bug so we can modify the plugins code for this feature to work?

Download 1.2.8 (beta) as I needed the mobilenumber field on the registration form. Wow, it was there, but when I take a look at the users table the mobilenumber is blank.

question: once the registration is complete, the user is still asked to log in. is there a way to have it redirect to a page on registration?
i do have the redirect setup, but it does still require a 2nd log in.
the redirect url appears in the notification email

I’ve got a problem:
I can’t make the profile fields First Name and Last Name required. I only manage to make my custom fields required.
I am using version 1.2.8 beta.

BTW Is there an easy way to see the extra fields in the user profile? Now I access the database directly, outside WordPress.

Here’s the quick fix for this bug,

Open up Pie-Register.php in a texteditor scroll down to the function “Add2Profile()” inside this function scroll about 15 lines down you will see the following code:
$value = get_user_meta( $user_ID, $id);
replace the above code with the following code:
$value = get_user_meta( $user_ID, $id, true );

You can already do it .. go to “Email Notification” Tab under Pie-Register menu, scroll down to “Customize Admin Notification Email” click Custom Admin Email Notification “Enable” and then use the appropriate keys to get the User Data via Email,

When a new user registers and submits a phone number, the phone number does not display in the user’s account or the admin’s Members pages. However, the phone number is saved in the wp_usermeta table If the user goes to their My Details page and fills in the phone number it then displays in both admin Members pages and the user’s account.

When a new user initially registers, the phone number is saved in the wp_usermeta ‘phone’ column. If that user goes to My Details and inputs a phone number I see it saved in the jabber column.

Not sure if anyone else is experiencing this issue but I thought I would make a complete description in case it is helpful.

Note: I am using a complex theme, Shopperpress, so perhaps that may be part of my problem.

Pie-registration is a great plugin, I do understand that it is still in beta. Thank you for your efforts on this project.

Thanks for this Paul, it fixed it for me too. Seems to be a typo in this line, with an extra double quote:
$rpg=str_replace(“””,”‘”,$rpg); change to –> $rpg=str_replace(“”,”‘”,$rpg);

In my pie-register.php version 1.2.8 the function disable_magic_quotes_gpc starts on line 401.
